- A little Prologue – Indo - China border conflict.

We all know the tension that is happening at the Indo-China border or the Galwan valley itself. Let's know more about the issue and as per my study here are the little known things which led to the face off.

Now, here is the truth this is not the first time when something like this has happened at India border and I am sure that this wont be the last as well.

China has been continuously infiltrating into our side of the border and has been causing chaos every now and then by playing blames. If we take some time and look back at our history about our relationship with China all we can see is cheating, Backstabbing, Cunning games and Dirty politics.

It all started when India and China thought of drawing a specific border between the two nations. Following which Mac Mohan line was drawn by the person named Mac Mohan in 1914 and whom both the countries trusted since he was an expert in what did and said.

Later, in 1954 after the line was drawn both the countries agreed upon a piece treaty called as “Panchsheel”. The major motto of the treaty was to maintain peace between both the nation’s also to not to interfere in-between their Personal politics.

Little did India know about what China actually did after the treaty was signed? So after the convention, India’s then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru announced openly in the parliament about the treaty and declared that Mac Mohan line would be the official border between India and China.

It was only until 1958 that India came to know about the illegal activities happening at the Indian controlled Tibet region that Chinese were forcibly infiltrating and were trying get control over the region. This was a clear indication of china being ignorant about the treaty and its clause. China was also very adamant about conquering the Tibet region as it believed that it belonged to their nation geographically.

Finally in 1959 when Chinese took over Tibet and the people of Tibet were either forced to convert into Christianity or they were executed or killed. Many of the Buddhist monks fled their home in the fear of losing their life. It was that time when Dalai Lama came to Indian prime minster and asked the Indian government to let them to stay in India. As promised Nehru provided asylum to lama and his followers. For the same reason even today we can see many Buddhist monks living in various parts of country in their own community.

Later that, India started to negotiate with China regarding, tensions at the Indian border, but Chinese never gave up and kept on playing games which they were good at. This process never stopped and every now and then there would some sort of incident happening on the border. This continues for years till the 1962 war.

Finally on 20th Oct 1962 Indo china border war started and it lasted on 21st Nov 1962 killing many Indian soldiers and china having many of our soldiers in captivity, it was completely unannounced as Nehru was misinformed of the circumstances of the war. He did ask for help from American leader JFK and wrote him a letter asking for ammunition and military support. On the other hand our own inelegance bureau kept us in dark and asked Nehru to not bring in IAF. They completely mislead the air force and kept them away by stating that if in case Pakistan attacks we might have to keep back up.

Since the war was unannounced and very quickly it escalated, we had to lose too many soldiers and also few of them were under captivity at the end of the war. We did end up loosing the war and also few miles of our land like Aksai-Chin which is under China’s control.

Lately they have started the same thing at the Galwan Valley, we have already lost more than 20 soldiers and few are under serious condition. Peaceful talks have been made from both the sides and hopefully this ends soon
